Weather report: a fictional, stream-of-consciousness vignette, written about – or from within – a mythology. They are internal, intertextual, and nonsensical; a method of unravelling, and an act of Bachelardian magic. Though they are written in English, they tend to make things up, lie to you, or pretend you don’t really need to understand. Don’t be offended by these semantic tomfooleries – we’re only here to pretend.
These texts are akin to spells: they aim to cast a magic and create a potentiality – forming and unforming relations, becoming and unbecoming images.
i. Weather is a metaphor for spontaneity and change; moments of vibration and intensity that the sorcerer navigates.
ii. Reportage is an attempt to summon these moments and intensify them – to recognise, trace, and be submerged in them.
